Overview
This hilly region is characterized by polyculture and breeding with a combination of arable crops, (maize, oilseed rape, sorghum, sunflower), meadows, grazed pastures and small woodlands.
This region is part of the French Long Term Ecological Research network created by the CNRS ('Zone atelier' in French) as well as LTER-Europe and ILTER. Land cover and biodiversity have been monitored in this region since 1981 by Dynafor.
Research team
This region was surveyed by the team from Dynafor in Toulouse lead by Annie Ouin. Fieldwork was coordinated by Amélie Bourgeade in 2013 and Romain Carrié in 2014.
