The Farmland project relies on collaborations between researchers and farmers.

More than 1,000 farmers have granted access to their fields so that biodiversity sampling and experiments on ecosystem services can be conducted (more than 1300 fields were sampled in total).

Many of these farmers have also agreed to participate in surveys about their practices and yields.

In addition, 120 farmers have agreed to participate in in-depth interviews to better understand how they perceive the functioning of agricultural landscapes.

Finally dozens of farmers participated and still participate in information meetings and workshops to produce guidelines for a better management of farmland heterogeneity and to identify strategies to implement these guidelines successfully. These workshops also involve other agricultural stakeholders, such as representatives of agricultural chambers, agricultural education bodies etc ...
